== Genetics == The VWF gene is located on the short arm p of chromosome 12 (12p13.2). It has 52 exons spanning 178 kbp. Types 1 and 2 are inherited as autosomal dominant traits. Occasionally, type 2 also inherits recessively. Type 3 is inherited as autosomal recessive. However, some individuals heterozygous for type 3 may be diagnosed with VWD type 1, indicating an intermediate inheritance in those cases. VWD occurs in approximately 1% of the population and affects men and women equally. Genetic testing is typically not part of the initial workup for von Willebrand disease, and is not needed for people diagnosed with type 1 VWD based on clinical history and laboratory tests. The goal of the program was to boost the proficiency of Georgia's security forces in areas including border security, anti-terrorism, disaster response. Responsibility for training Georgian forces was eventually handed off to the U.S. Marine Corps in conjunction with the British Army. British and American teams worked as part of a joint effort to train each of the four infantry battalion staffs and their organic rifle companies. This training began with the individual soldier and continued through fire team, squad, platoon, company, and battalion level tactics as well as staff planning and organization. Upon completing training, each of the new Georgian infantry battalions began preparing for deployment rotations in support of the Global War on Terrorism. As part of the program Georgian troops were issued new uniforms, boots, weapons, and other articles of equipment. Although GTEP formally ended in April 2004, US military assistance to Georgia continued through the Georgia Sustainment and Stability Operations Program. Part of this program involved preparing Georgian units for operations in US-led Multinational Force Iraq. That program ended in September 2007.
=== Beginnings === As of 1969, the Escadrille Nationale Tchadienne was equipped with five Douglas C-47 cargo aircraft and three Max Holste MH.1521 Broussard liaison aircraft. Most of them were operated by French crews, because there were very few native pilots. In the mid-1970s, it was reinforced by six AD-4N Skyraiders, as well as some additional C-47 and Douglas C-54 transports, the total number of which reached 13 by that time. All of these were donated by France, and most were still crewed by the French. Three Reims-Cessna FTB337s were also delivered in 1977.

=== Influence of Vladimir Cerrón === Vladimir Cerrón is the General Secretary of Free Peru, who represents the Marxist–Leninist faction of the party. Cerrón was previously the governor of Junín, but was convicted for corruption and given a suspended sentence. Cerrón has repeatedly denied such charges, stating that he's a victim of lawfare and political persecution. The indictment prevents Cerrón from running for public office. During the 2021 Peruvian general election, Castillo distanced himself from Cerrón, saying that Cerrón "will not even be a doorman in any of the institutions of the State." However, Castillo has been accused of appointing government officials and ministers who are close to Cerrón. These include the appointment of Waldemar Cerrón, Vladimir's brother, as Free Peru's spokesman in Congress, despite Waldemar being investigated for money laundering. Waldemar has also been under investigation in Los Dinámicos del Centro, an alleged criminal organization that's investigated for money laundering. The investigations also include Vladimir and then Prime Minister Bellido. Vladimir has accused the investigations of being political persecution. Later, a number of alleged members of Los Dinámicos del Centro escaped from the country. Prime Minister Mirtha Vásquez stated that they have been included in Peru's registry of most wanted fugitives.

In November 1998, Layne Staley recorded a cover of Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" with the supergroup Class of '99. The song was featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 horror/sci-fi film, The Faculty. After they toured as part of Cantrell's solo band in 1998, Sean Kinney and Queensrÿche guitarist Chris DeGarmo formed a new band called Spys4Darwin. Mike Inez and Sponge lead vocalist Vin Dombroski joined the supergroup soon after. The band released their first and only album in 2001, a 6-track EP entitled Microfish. In June 2001, Mike Inez joined Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society for the remaining dates of Ozzfest, following the departure of bassist Steve Gibb for medical reasons. Inez joined the band again for their West Coast and Japanese tour in 2003. By 2002, Cantrell had finished work on his second solo album, Degradation Trip. Written in 1998, the album's lyrical content focused heavily on what Cantrell regarded as the demise of Alice in Chains, which still remained evident as the album approached its June 2002 release. However, in March that year, Cantrell commented, "We're all still around, so it's possible [Alice in Chains] could all do something someday, and I fully hope someday we will."

In May 2008, a dozen jailed paramilitary leaders were extradited to the United States on drug-related charges. In 2009, extradited paramilitary leader Salvatore Mancuso would go on to claim that the AUC had supported Uribe's 2002 election, but said it was a result of their similar "ideological discourse" and not the result of any direct prior arrangement. On July 2, 2008, the Colombian armed forces launched Operation Jaque which resulted in the freedom of 15 political hostages, including former Colombian presidential candidate Íngrid Betancourt, Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes, and Keith Stansell, three American military contractors employed by Northrop Grumman, and 11 Colombian military and police members. === Lipedema stages === Lipedema is classified by stage: Stage 1: Normal skin surface with enlarged hypodermis (lipedema fat). Stage 2: Uneven skin with indentations in fat and larger hypodermal masses (lipomas). Stage 3: Bulky extrusions of skin and fat cause large deformations, especially on the thighs and around the knees. These large extrusions of tissue drastically inhibit mobility.
